Favourite spots in our garden

The first is under the grapevine on the verandah. It makes you feel nice & cool when you sit there- our place can be in the high 30's regulary in summer. Also the Hydrangea garden borders this corner & they are beautiful!

The second is the old gate leading into the Tomato Garden............

The third is Moosh's favourite sleeping spot- well only when he is locked out of Sam's room..............

Rose Garden Plan

Gosh, I have been meaning to do this for ages, as I have started to forget or lose the tags off the plants :(

Anyhow, here is my Rose Garden plan. I have never been a "collector" before- well unless you count pets, lol.

My collection is growing, mostly David Austins and I cannot get enough!

Xmas decorations

Well its nearly time to drag the Xmas Tree out. I love Xmas & whilst our decoration supply is small it grows gradually each year.

Mum gave me this months BH &G magazine & it had free paper & decoration ideas included.

This morning, Sammy & I spent some time making some. We may even put the tree up tomorrow!

I have joined the Cupcake Revolution!

Cupcakes are making a comeback. Mmmm, hope Cream Buns are next, lol.

So I tried this yummy recipe posted on Nappycino by Lesley from Cherubs Kiss.

Wow so easy & they taste amazing!

Preheat oven to 180 deg.
You can use Muffin pans (20min baking time) Cupcake pans 15min, or mini's about 10min.
In a medium sized bowl:
150 softened butter - room temp
3/4 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 cups SR flour
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
dash of vanilla extract
Beat until changed colour. And bake as above.

Top with 250g unsalted butter, whipped until smooth and then add in 1 kg of icing sugar, give or take, depends on how sweet you like it.
This makes lots of icing. Enough to ice at least 48 cupcake sized cupcakes.
I just make a bit batch and store it in the fridge.
