Work in progress for Tigger......

Just picture evidence so that you know that I am not talking out of my arse....................

Have split for the legs & have nearly finished the first leg!

Hmmm, what to do with these?

I would like to put Yukka's in them. Sort of Mexican type trees a bit like a Frangipani but without the flowers. I cannot have Frangipani's as we get killer frosts.

The other option is the Climbing Star Jasmine trained over cones to make pretty shapes, but I am not convinced that this is a pool area look?

Favourite spots in our garden

The first is under the grapevine on the verandah. It makes you feel nice & cool when you sit there- our place can be in the high 30's regulary in summer. Also the Hydrangea garden borders this corner & they are beautiful!

The second is the old gate leading into the Tomato Garden............

The third is Moosh's favourite sleeping spot- well only when he is locked out of Sam's room..............

Rose Garden Plan

Gosh, I have been meaning to do this for ages, as I have started to forget or lose the tags off the plants :(

Anyhow, here is my Rose Garden plan. I have never been a "collector" before- well unless you count pets, lol.

My collection is growing, mostly David Austins and I cannot get enough!

Xmas decorations

Well its nearly time to drag the Xmas Tree out. I love Xmas & whilst our decoration supply is small it grows gradually each year.

Mum gave me this months BH &G magazine & it had free paper & decoration ideas included.

This morning, Sammy & I spent some time making some. We may even put the tree up tomorrow!

I have joined the Cupcake Revolution!

Cupcakes are making a comeback. Mmmm, hope Cream Buns are next, lol.

So I tried this yummy recipe posted on Nappycino by Lesley from Cherubs Kiss.

Wow so easy & they taste amazing!

Preheat oven to 180 deg.
You can use Muffin pans (20min baking time) Cupcake pans 15min, or mini's about 10min.
In a medium sized bowl:
150 softened butter - room temp
3/4 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
2 cups SR flour
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
dash of vanilla extract
Beat until changed colour. And bake as above.

Top with 250g unsalted butter, whipped until smooth and then add in 1 kg of icing sugar, give or take, depends on how sweet you like it.
This makes lots of icing. Enough to ice at least 48 cupcake sized cupcakes.
I just make a bit batch and store it in the fridge.

Lots of lettuce

I decided to try growing lettuce in containers as previously it hasn't done very well in the vege patch thanks to the Wallaby's.

Mmmmm yum, so far so good!

The girls and their wares

5 eggs a day! I am forever packing them up & giving them away to the relos, playgroup, neighbours anyone..............................

Weekend projects..........

I found the containers on the throw out table at Kmart, last week for $5 ea.

So they were the perfect size for the Basil & Parsley plants that Greg bought me home from the nursery.

I am going to attempt to grow Coriander again for the billionth time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I am sick of it going to seed within weeks.

Also I dug up some Sea side daisy's out of mum's lawn. I have always loved this plant & I planted it in mum's garden, when I still lived at home years ago. It's has self seeded into her lawn- oops.

I love Roses.........

Especially David Austin & Old World Roses.

I need to draw a plan so that I don't forget their names as I am starting to get a collection.

Terrible pics, I'm sure Bec would do them justice, if she lived closer.

2nd Trimester Energy Burst

sees me obsessively gardening, planting, weeding & mulching.
Check out the height of the weeds in the first pic!
