More knitting projects
Finished just in time!
39 weeks tomorrow.
The longies are knitted with Monster Knits Cafe wool, so soft, awww.
The kimono is knitted using a sage cotton. Was extremely fiddly & I made a few mistakes.
All in all, I am very happy with how they turned out.

Our overnight visitor..........
On my way home from picking Sam up from pre-school, I came across this little guy. He had been hit by a car & was in shock & not moving.
I took him home & set him up in a quiet spot (i.e away from Sam) & phoned my close friend, Debbie whom works at the Reptile Park.
He was showing severe signs of stress & had some broken Quills (prickles on his back) but otherwise was unscathed.
By the next morning he was back to being active & showing no further shock signs, so it was time for him to be re-released.
Echidnas will die quickly if kept in captivity too long- from stress. They also must be returned to the exact same spot from where they are rescued as they have a very small territory & their families can be buried close by (including young).
I loved helping him. We are lucky to have Wallabies, Koalas, Possums & Platypus is our area but I must admit that Echidnas are my favourite!

Happy 3rd Birthday to Sam!
What a big day! Sammy turned 3yo today & also had his first day at pre-school.
Mummy was very apprehensive but this soon changed when I realised how happy he was to be there.
He waved bye bye, when I told him I was leaving & went off to play with his friends. It is a tiny pre-school with 6 boys & 2 girls in total.
When I picked him up the teachers said that he had a great day & than he had lovely manners. What more could a mum want to hear?

The lovely Bec, from ZigZag Baby made me some matching PUL covers for the fitted nappies from Peep-O.
Aren't they just beautiful?
